MISSING ONE TOOTH?
If your single tooth is missing it can be replaced in several ways:
- A crown on a natural tooth
- A crown on an implant
- A three-unit bridge
CROWN ON A NATURAL TOOTH
A crown is a fixed restoration that is adhered to natural teeth restoring heavily decayed and/or unsightly teeth. The crowned tooth should be prepared first. You can rest assured that we’ll provide you with crowns made of high-quality materials that are not only functional but also utterly beautiful.
CROWN ON AN IMPLANT
This is the best option for one missing tooth as neighbouring teeth need not be prepared for making the bridge. In this case an implant is a better and a longer lasting solution.
There are many types of crowns that can be made on an implant depending on the type of the material and a method for fixing the crown onto the implant.
If front teeth are being restored a combination of zirconium supra-structure and all-ceramic crown achieves best aesthetics ( E MAX crowns, zirconium crowns).
Aesthetics doesn’t play pivotal role in side teeth so that a ceramic crown on a titanic supra-structure can be made.
In both case a crown can be fixed to the implant either by cementing or with a screw.
A bridge is made when missing teeth need to be bridged. In this case neighboring teeth must be shaped for the bridge to be fixed thereon.
The simplest bridge is that made for one missing tooth: here we shape neighboring teeth and make a bridge of three units that is cemented thereon.
